Reinhold Merkelbach made steins 1862-2007, this stein has a 0,5L capacity mark and mold #2026, a capital E and a RM logo on the base. According to this logo it was made in the late 1930's to 1964. It's about 5" to the top of the lid, 4-3/4" across the base and heavy. Designed by Richard Riemerschmid.
Latin phrase “Gaudeamus igitur juvenes dum sumus”
(Let us rejoice while we are young), There isn't a dent in the lid, it's just a reflection.
