This stein doesn't have a capacity or makers mark, but it has a #283 mold number and something that may be an iron cross and a large Gothic style S, all on the base. It's about 6-1/2" to the top of the lid and about 8-3/4" to the top of the thumb lift. The really nice porcelain insert is of the Schutzenlies painting of Coletta Moritz. It also has a closed five ring pewter hinge. The last two pictures are of another #283 with a known Fritz Thenn capacity mark and only a #283 on the base.
