Shaped beer mug "Sailor". The mug was made at the renowned German A.J. Thewalt manufactory in the period 1970-1980. In the A.J. Thewalt product catalog, the mold of this mug has the number 9006. The mold of this mug was designed as a modern reproduction from an older counterpart. The original "Sailor" was produced
by the A.J. Thewalt factory until 1910 under the number 1821.
The authorship of the design of this
charismatic mug is attributed to the designer Wilhelm Kamp. From 1897 to 1914, he oversaw the development of all beer mug molds for the A.J. Thewalt manufactory.
