A historical stein (historismus style), produced by Reinhold Merkelbach in the last decades of the 19th century.
At least two different versions of this 1/2 liter capacity stoneware stein have been produced. One has a verse on the front panel, while the other has a scene of two people in the front panel.
The text on the front of the first one reads "We nicht liebt das edle Bier, bleibt ein armen Schlucker hier.".
