Early Merkelbach stein produced in grey stoneware and decorated in blue and black. In front of the stein is a saying: Nach des Tages Schweiß, Den kühlen Trunk ich preiß (after the day sweat, the chill drink I praise). On the pewter lid is an inscription: Anna Geijer den 12t. Oct. 1886. Height 17 cm, capacity mark in front of the stein 1/2 L, producer mark from 1882, mold 190
