verse reads:
“Das Geld ist futsch, die Tasche leer,
Frau Wirtin habt Geduld,
bis wieder einst ich komme her,
bleib ich in Eurer Schuld.”
(The money is gone, the pockets empty,
lady innkeeper have patience,
until I come back one day,
I remain in your debt.)
