Stein from August Zinkl and G.F. "Fritz" Tenn "Greetings from Munich".
Judging by the technique of fastening the handle to the body, it can be assumed that the mug was made during the partnership of August Zinkl and G.F. "Fritz" Tenn 1875-1877.
The beer mug is decorated with three windows, which overlook the main sights of Munich. An explanatory inscription is given under each of them. In the central window there is the main symbol of the city of Munich "A child in a monk's habit" with the inscription in German "Gruß aus München". This phrase translates from German as "Greetings from Munich".
In the left window there is a relief miniature of the Siegestor (German Siegestor — "Victory Gate"), the famous Arc de Triomphe in Munich. The arch was built in 1843-1852 by order of King Ludwig I of Bavaria. The architect was Friedrich von Gertner, who took the ancient arch of Constantine in Rome as a model. The monument was dedicated to the glory of the Bavarian army (as indicated by the inscription Dem Bayerischen Heere on the original) and the victories in the liberation wars against Napoleon. The top of the arch is crowned by a bronze statue of "Bavaria" on a quadriga drawn by four lions, the symbol of the Bavarian royal dynasty of Wittelsbach.
In the right window, we see a relief image of the historic Hofbroyhaus building in Munich, complemented by the German inscription "Hofbräuhaus" and images of beer barrels.
