Cold War Stein

From the collection of Randy Satterfield

The front of the stein features the emblem of the 10th Tactical Reconnassence Wing.Below that is a banner withe "Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany, 1955 = 1958". On the left is an emblem above wich is a banner "48th Tac. Recon. Sq.". The 38th was moved to Spangdahlem in May of 1953. This emblem is a bit of a mystery. Its not the emblem or patch of the 38th (which is a stylized eagle head) and it stumps Google image search whicvh thinks it's the three little pigs. The right side and finial feature the RF-84F Thunderflash which was being flown by the 38th at that time.
