Manning Bowman mark on base. Manning Bowman was based in Meriden, Connecticut and existed from 1849 to 1945. They worked principally in pewter in this market and provided dthe lids and fittings to most American companies producing steins. They undoubtedly purchased bodies for their steins from another company, possibly the Ceramic Arts Company.
