This antique beer mug was made at the Marzi & Remy manufactory in the period 1883-1890. In the catalog of Marzi & Remy products, the mold of this mug has the number 710. In the Marzi & Remy catalog, the mug is presented under the name "Ein Pflanzenmuster mit einem Spruch". Translated, it means "a pattern of plant curls with an inscription". The design of the mug is executed in the technique of fine lace relief. There is an inscription on the central facade of the mug. These are some of the popular German mottos used as a toast to a drink. Its essence is as follows: "Let's drink this cup to the bottom according to the precepts of our German ancestors
in a circle of cheerful friends."
The uniqueness of this particular mug is emphasized by the fact that on its outer surface of the bottom there is no standard Marzi & Remy imprint of the manufactory in the form of a stylized potter's wheel or other forms of the factory's trademarks. The Marzi & Remy manufactory allowed itself such freedom in cases of execution of narrow corporate orders.
