Stein Villeroy & Boch #2028 "In the circle of drinkers".
The pattern on the surface of the mug is made in a labor-intensive technique of hand-engraving on ceramics. The tin lid is decorated with an inlay. At the body of the mug, there is an inscription in German
“Dem sei dies Seidel Bier gebracht
der über seine Pflichten wacht.” This is a popular toast in Germany to commemorate fallen comrades. In German, it translates to "Let us raise our glasses to those who fell in battle, fulfilling their military duty."
The design of this mug was created by E. Winterwerber. He signed his works with the monogram E.W. For more information about this artist, please visit the following link: [link]
