Beneath the ironic saying: "I kon koane 3 Quartl seg'n - anstatt a' Mass - da wer' I granti - mit solchene Spass" in german dialect, meaning " I can't stand 3 small (1/4 L) instead one big (1L) beer, and get angry, if treated this way"
Two cartouches, one with an offering a the other with a denying gesture. 1/2 L capacity mark on side, domed pewter lid with gloverleaf on top, oval thumb-lift, 5- ring hinge.
