Memorial Glass Stein

From the collection of Andrew Ives

Clear blown glass. Thick, scrolled handle. Thick base.
Biedermeier cylindrical shape (slight taper toward the top) popular c.1800-1840.
Wheel etched floral design with a central decoration banner with "Andenken", which would translate to memory or remembrance depending on the use of the word.
Larger size closed 5 ring hinge and flat pewter lid.
The thumb lift is 2 kissing doves (popular early to mid 1800's), which signifies love, and would be fitting for a memorial stein.
The lid has an etched decoration, the initials A.M.M. (unknown if this is the memorialized person or the owner), and is dated 1804.
