Marzi & Remy made steins 1879-1994. This "Various Subjects" (Tavern Scene, print under glaze) stein is about 9-1/2 tall. It has a small 1/2L capacity mark and mold #992 on the base. No M&R logo or Germany. In 1887 it was required to have Germany or Made in Germany on all exports. The heavy three ring pewter hinge was used around 1875-1895. This stein may have been made 1879-1886.
