Simon Peter Gerz made steins 1862-1999. This 1L "Jesus and the 12 Apostilles" stein was made in West Germany 1949-1989. It's about 8" tall, 5-1/8" across the base and heavy. No capacity mark just the modern round Gerz logo on the base.
