Marzi & Remy made steins 1879-1994, this #992 (used for various subjects) is 11-5/8" tall . There isn't a M&R logo or mold number on the bottom, but there is small 1/2L capacity mark used by M&R.

A private in the German Artillery was known as a Kanonier.
This WW1 cannon may be the pewter one on the lid.
