This Skull on Book stein resembles the Ernst Bohne #9136 0,5L but it's unknown who made it. It's about 5-1/4" at the top of the lid and about 6-1/4" to the top of the thumb lift. On the sides of the book it has “Gaudeamus igitur / juvenes dum sumus.”
(Let us rejoice while we are young.) But the wording on this stein is on the opposite sides as the Bohne skull. No capacity, makers mark or mold number, just MADE IN GERMANY hand scribed in. I wish my teeth looked that white!!
