Late 19th. century Betrothal Stein.

Late 19th century Rinehold Hanke Betrothal stein, R.H. mark from 1900>>1930 but dedication on lid dated 1894. The central embossed figures are taken from 1888 engraving "Act of Love" which is a scene from the poem The Trumpter of Sackingen.
English translation of inscription on lid "Free Union " Narcissus" i. M. G.Malicke 22.3.94.
