The style, design, patina, and wear pattern seem to date this pewter stein to 1720-1750. The front panel is engraved with the owner's name (Johann Abraham Demlein) and 1820. Presumably, the owner passed in 1820 and this engraving was done in memorial. The engraving is particularly sharp, likely because the stein was not used much after 1820.
