A stein, produced by Villeroy & Boch in Mettlach, Germany.
The stein has a lovely decoration of gnomes bowling. The decoration was designed by Heinrich Schlitt, and the artist's signature is present in a corner of the decor.
The beer stein has a capacity of 1/2 liter. With its raised hollow base, it seems larger though.
The markings on the base show us that the stein was made in 1895. The decoration number is 727 and the stein body itself is mold number 1909.
