Marzi and Remy used it's much utilized 990 stein body for it's tapestry steins. The unusual thing about these Marzi and Remy tapestry steins is that sometimes they had the text on the sides and asometimes not, as here. (Should they still be called tapestry steins without the text?) I have them n both ways on some, the same etched front scene with text and without text. This one of a Landsknecht drinking is marked 990A on the base. I don't know what the A is for here, it was unusual for Marzi and Remy to use mold number extensions.
