Stein Anheuser-Busch #CS460 “American Olympic Team 2000”.
This collector's beer mug was released in 2000 by order of Budweiser (Anheuser-Busch) in honor of the American Olympic team at the 2000 Summer Games in Sydney. The central part of the mug features a collage of athletes from various sports (baseball, basketball, diving, etc.). Above and below the collage, there are flags representing the participating countries. The lid is made of pewter and is decorated with an embossed Olympic medallion and a torch-shaped handle. The handle of the mug is stylized like ancient Greek columns. The base bears the inscription "USA" and colored Olympic rings.
The design was designed by artist Doug Thompson.
