Vintage ceramic 3D beer mug "Barrel with three hoop belts". The mug is made in the shape of a wooden barrel. The delicate relief of the ceramic surface of the mug resembles the texture of wood fibers.
The mug is equipped with an inlaid lid with a ceramic relief insert, imitating a wooden surface. The lid shows a branch of hops with two leaves and a bulky cone of ripe hops.
The capacity of the mug is 0.5 liters, the height is 16 cm. The mug was made in 1912 at the famous Villeroy & Boch manufactory in Mettlach. The mold model of this mug in the Villeroy & Boch catalog is number 675. This is one of the oldest Villeroy & Boch models, which were developed before 1871. This explains the absence of a capacity mark on the mug's mold, which became mandatory in Germany after 1871.
