Aus die Sammlung von Randy Satterfield

This is a pair of steins almost certainly for a husband and wife. The steins are identical except for who they are named to. The front of the steins have who they are name to at the top, "Yo - Yo" and "Kitten". beneath that is "50th F B W (Fighter Bomber Wing). Below that is sthe patch/insignia of the 50th FBW. Below dthat is "Hahn Air Base and Germany 1953 - 55. The left side of the stein features the patch/insignia of the 10th Fighter Bomber Squadron. The insignia had a small redesign in 1996. The right side of the stein features a painting of an F-86.

The patch/insignia of the 50th has changed with it's different iterations while maintaining the same colors and all but one a similar design. The 50th started as the 50th Fighter Wing from 1949 to 1950. It was the 50th Fighter-Interceptor Wing from 1950 to 1951. It was during this time that they started flying F86A Sabres. There seems to be a hole in the designagtions for 1952. They were designated the 50th Fighter-Bomber Wing from 1953 to 1958. They werte the 50th Tactical Fighter Wing from 1958 to 1991. They were the 50th Space Wing from 1992 to 2020. On 20 December 2019, the 50th Space Wing, along with the rest of Air Force Space Command, was transferred to the United States Space Force.

At the time of this stein's inception the 10th Fighter Bombner Squadron was utilized as a NATO fighter unit based at Hahn Air Base.
