Aus die Sammlung von Paulo Vik Falcon

This figurative mug "Munich Child" was made in 1906 in Nuremberg (Bavaria) by the manufactory "Gebrüder Goldschmidt Metallwaren-Fabrik". The name of the manufactory is translated as "The factory of metal products of the brothers Goldschmidt".
This factory was founded in 1890 Jakob Goldschmidt (Jakob Goldschmidt). Originally called "Zinngießerei und Luxuswaren" in German, this translates to "Tinware and luxury goods". In 1906, Jacob Goldschmidt's business was joined by his brother, Moritz Goldschmidt. In the same year, they began using a new design stamp. It is this stamp that is present on the outside of the bottom of this shaped mug. Since 1906, the factory operated under the name "Gebrüder Goldschmidt Metallwaren-Fabrik".
They sourced porcelain and ceramic components from manufacturers such as Marzi & Remy, Simon Peter Gerz I, Albert Jacob Thewalt, Matthias Girmscheid, J.W. Remy, and Utzschneider & Cie.

It is known that the Goldschmidt brothers ordered the "Munich Child" shaped mugs from an unknown manufacturer in the westerwald.
The mug in the boy's hands bears the abbreviation of the HB brewery and the inscription Gruss aus München, which means "Hello from Munich."
