Original Hacker Bräu München Brauerei —
These words are part of the design, bottom right:
“bestechendes brauhaus seit 1450” or “Impressive Brewery since 1450”. Indeed it is!
I absolutely love this one!! My favorite 1/2 L. German brewery steinkrug!!
Hacker Bräu München.
The stein has original brewery lid.
Check out the “Pauson” and “Munchen” on either side of the shank. See link below.
Size: The 1/2 L. capacity and calibration mark are barely visible, but present.
Check out the script for Munchen - Very Cool.
Condition is very good, undamaged, with bright colors. There are only partial, minimal signs of wear typical of its age (e.g. the finest scratches in the glaze).
Date: Approximately 1900
If anyone can provide further information, more accurate age, maker, designer, etc., I would appreciate your feedback - very much!!
Personal Note: I had to work hard and long (communication and shipping) to acquire this one. The seller made this comment: “Jorge, I am pleased that it has now worked out… You really are a crazy collector - In a positive sense!“
I am lucky to add this amazing steinkrug to my collection!
Prost!

The company Martin Pauson were pewterers and decorators of stein. On SteinMarks.co.uk you can find more information on that company.
