A blue/gray stoneware jug, probably produced in the westerwald region, circa 1840 ~1870.
This jug has a uncommon thumbrest of a horse, as well as a elaborate metal fitting, most likely brass (partly restored).
The jug is circa 23.5cm tall, excluding the lid.
The spout has been restored.
