A truly fantastic stein!
A beautiful rare stein, featuring a design by Ludwig Hohlwein for Villeroy & Boch in their range of 'Bavaria' products.
Fully marked on the base with the Villeroy & Boch 'castle' mark, the word Bavaria, and the usual marks including 'Ges.Gesch.', 'made in Germany', 'Reg. US pat. office', the mold number 3279, the roman numeral 'II', and the year mark '10' for 1910.
The desing by Ludwig Hohlwein of course is what makes this stein so very pretty. Hohlwein's use of bold colors and strong lines simply makes for a very nice decoration and would look great on anyone's shelve.
