Cold War Stein

The front of the stein has the patch for the 27th Anti Aircraft Artillery. Above it is a banner with "27th AAA BN. (75MM Gun)" The banner below it says "Kaiserlautern, Germany, 1955 - 1957". On the left sided is a painting of an anti aircraft gun surmounted with the pach of the 7th Army. On the right side is the same painted anit aircraft gun surmounted by the standard artillery insignia. All decorations are hand painted.

The 27th AAA Battalion was part of the 27th Infantry Division. Kaiserlautern is a town in southwest Germany, located in the state of Rhineland-Palatinate at the edge of the Palatinate Forest.
