Curly beer mug "Fox in the form of a hunter". The capacity of the mug is 0.5 liters, the height is 20 cm. A mug made in the form of a fox hunter's head. The fox is depicted in an anthropomorphic style — in a green hunting hat, with a collar and a button, which imitates the clothes of a hunter. This is a classic example of German figured porcelain of the last decade of the 19th century, often called "Gentleman Fox" (Gentleman Fox).
Initially, the mug of this model was produced by Schierholz & Sohn at the end of the XlX century. In the catalog of Schierholz & Sohn, the model of this mug has the number 52.
After 1995, Domex/Gerz began selling copies of Schierholz models, the shapes of which were designed in the period 1887-1890 by designer Edmund Haase. However, this is no longer porcelain. Copies of the late 90s of the XX century are already made of ceramics.
It is important to emphasize that the "Fox in the form of a Hunter" mug in its current form is essentially a design product of the late 19th century. Moreover, it is listed at number 52 in the catalog of shaped beer mugs produced by Schierholz & Sohn.
