Vintage German beer mug made of ruby crystal with a tin lid. The height of the mug is 24 cm, the capacity is 0.5 liters.
The mug was made in the period 1960-1970 at the famous German glass manufactory Nachtmann. The product is made of double-layered crystal ("overlay crystal" technique), where the upper ruby layer is cut through to a transparent base to create patterns.
The central medallion bears the inscription "Zur Hochzeit", which means "For a wedding" in German. This indicates that the mug was created as a memorable wedding gift.
