Collectible German figure mug "Joker". The capacity of the mug is about 0.6 liters, the height is 16 cm. The beer mug was made after 1990 in the style of "Ugly Face" (from English — "ugly face") is a popular trend in author's and folk ceramics, where a voluminous, grotesque or funny male face is applied to the outside of the vessel.
In our case, the mug of the German company Wolf Keramik, specializing in the production of products, is presented made of high-strength stone ceramics. The inscription on the nameplate "Echtes Steinzeug" translates from German as "real stone ceramics" (high-density ceramics with water resistance and durability). The product is made in the traditional gray-blue color scheme typical of classical German ceramics from the westerwald region. Wolf Keramik is a traditional ceramic factory located in the municipality. Mogendorf (Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany). This region, known as the westerwald, is historically famous for the production of clay products and "salt glaze".
Wolf Keramik is a German family—owned ceramics manufacturing company located in Mogendorf. Since 1990, the company has been officially registered under the name Arthur Wolf - Wolf Keramik Inh. Georg Rasbach e. K., where the owner is Georg Rasbach.
The model of this mold was used by the ancient German manufactory Eckhardt & Engler long before Wolf Keramik. Eckhardt & Engler produced a full-color "Joker" shaped mug in the 1930s. Eckhardt & Engler ceased operations in 1971.
