Vintage beer mug "Seasons". The mug was made in 1896 at the famous Villeroy & Boch manufactory. The capacity of the mug is 0.5 liters.
The surface of the mug is decorated with scenes from the life of the villagers. Each of the four drawings is dedicated to a seasonal type of work or occupation peculiar to one of the four seasons: spring, summer, autumn and winter. Spring is the time of sowing. Summer is crowned by work related to mowing and harvesting crops. In autumn, the harvest is processed and beer is brewed. Winter provides villagers with time for family worries and household improvement. All this can be seen in the four illustrations provided.
Bouquets of oak branches with a large number of acorns, representing the reliability and richness of nature, form a space for the subjects of the seasons on the surface of the mug.
The decoration of the mug is made in the technique of high relief with a clear elaboration of the details of the decor.
The lid of the mug is inlaid with a ceramic insert decorated with a relief image of a bouquet of oak branches.
