This beer mug is part of the Anheuser-Busch (AB) "Opera Card" series. My mug has the number CS373 and is dedicated to the opera "Siegfried" by the legendary musician Richard Wagner (1813-1883). This mug was made as part of a special series of collectible beer "Opera Card". The series was developed by order of the brewing company AB. This series also included molds dedicated to other great operas, "Martha" (composer Friedrich von Flotow, 1812-1883) and "The Huguenots" (composer Giacomo Meyerbeer, 1791-1864). The mug was made by Ceramarte in Brazil and is a collector's item.
The design of my mug is inspired by a scene from Wagner's opera Siegfried, as evidenced by the text on the parchment scrolls.
