Kegeling Scene

Dümler & Breiden

From the collection of Andrew Ives

Relief decoration of men enjoying a game of kegel. Deep cobalt blue background color.
The mold number is located on the back side under the handle, but it appears lightly applied and is unreadable under the thick glaze.
Text reads: "After hitting all nine, one must scream hurrah"
According to Steinmarks, the D & B crossed swords mark on the base dates from around 1930 to around 1936.
