The inscription is applied around the entire circle of the upper part of the frieze of the beer mug: "Kgl. B. 1. Inft. Regt. "König"10. comp. 1903/1905 München.", is an abbreviation and stands for Royal Bavarian 1st Infantry Regiment (Königlich Bayerisches 1. Infanterie-Regiment) 10th Company, 1903-1905 years of service in Munich.
Description of photos 11-13.
The central part of the mug is decorated with a detailed drawing depicting a soldier in a blue uniform. He holds a mug of beer in his raised right hand, and leans on shields with symbols of Bavarian royalty with his left. Above the crown and flags, the text "In Treue Fest" is visible. It was the military motto of the Kingdom of Bavaria. Translated from German, it sounded like this: They are strong in loyalty.
To the right of the mug's handle, we can see two drawings with a caption in German. The top drawing shows the scene of a soldier saying goodbye to his girlfriend. The inscription to this drawing reads: "Dem Regiment den letzten Gruss, Treue Gefrich wieder wen ich muss". In translation, this is "Farewell greetings to the regiment. A loyal comrade will come back again if necessary".
The bottom drawing illustrates the daily routine of regimental life. The lower inscription is in large letters: "An Erinnerung" reads "As a keepsake."
Two scenes are depicted to the left of the mug handle. In the upper picture, a group of colleagues celebrates a holiday. On the wall of the tavern there is a poster with the inscription in German: "PAROLE HEIMAT" (Password Homeland). The caption to this drawing "Drum Bruder Stosst die Gläser an Es lebe der Reservemann" in translation reads: "So, brothers, let's go nuts, long live the reservist." In the lower drawing, we see soldiers on horseback. The caption to this drawing "meine Dienstzeit" means "My service".
There is an ink seal of Porzellanfabrik AL-KA Kunst Alboth & Kaiser on the side surface of the outer side of the bottom of the mug. The factory used this form of printing to label its products in the period 1970-1990.
