The front of the stein has it named to Maj. Jck T. Garven at the top. In the middle is the unit insignia (aka coat of arms) of the 14th Field Artillery. Above that is Executive Officer, 6th BN (battalion) 14th FA (field artillery). At the base of the stein Maj. Garmven'stour dated 1971 - 1973.This would have been just after the 14th was reassigned from Vietnam to Germany. On the left side of the stein is the coat of arms of Hornberg.
