A jug designed by Karl Gelhard in around 1910/1911. The blue decorations on the cream colored body are geometric, tendind toward the art deco style but still with some art nouveau (jugendstil) characteristics.
Came in several sizes: 0.75L, 1L, 1.5L, 2L and 2.5L.
According to an original Merkelbach/Steinzeugwerke catalog this was designed "in eigenen Werkstätten" (in own workshop) but in another original Reinhold Merkelbach document it is attributed to Karl Gelhard.
