David and Goliath.
The central image is taken from the famous biblical tale (1 Samuel 17), in which the Philistine Goliath meets with the young Israeli shepherd David in single combat to decide the outcome of the battle in the valley of Elah. David, armed only with a sling, defeats the fully armored Goliath head-on with a stone, forcing the Philistine army to flee the battlefield.
