Souvenir of Lowell Mass.
Dorfner & Co
From the collection of Paul Van Eck
A half-liter capacity beer stein, probably made between 1894 and 1913.
The front has a transfer print of 3 landmark buildings in the city of Lowell, Massachusetts: the post office, city hall and the Armory. Below the pictured buildings it says "Souvenir of Lowell Mass."
The stein was made in Germany by the company Ernst Dorfner & Co, see: [link]
The base has two stamps. On saying "Made in Germany", the other showing the letters G, E and H. The latter is likely to be the mark of the retailer that carried this stein in their assortment.
