Marzi & Remy stein
Catalog #1186 was a stein body style served as the base for a variety of different central decorations. This stein’s Print Under Glaze (PUG) depicts a post card style central image
with the statement “Gruss aus Kassel” which translates to “Greetings from Kassel” the city in central Germany
Pottery PUG 0.5 Liter capacity with a cast pewter lid
17 cm at the top of the tankard; 25.5 cm at the top of the lid
The final image is of catalog 1189 with a PUG depicting a bicyclist. This was on display at a Transportation Museum in Maine, which caused me to want to find steins of this Marzi & Remy body type for my own collection.
