Inside of lid shinny with no marks, except the double circles
Base. Possibly a maker’s mark, but no longer distinguishable.
I purchased multiple steins from a stein collector who provided this note inside each stein. The coins are just being used to weight down the paper that was folded up.
This is one of my top 0,5L. German Brewery Steinkrugs. This HB stein is a real treasure to me!
This steinkrug was made to commemorate HB Hofbräuhaus’s 350 year anniversary. (1589 to 1939)
1589 Duke Wilhelm V founds the Hofbräuhaus.
The colors are so vivid and vibrant.
The condition is excellent, especially for its age.
I think it had a maker’s mark at one time on the base, but it’s no longer distinguishable.
The original seller, a serious German stein collector himself, left a note with some interesting information about this special piece of German brewery and steinkrug history. See last image.

For example, who is the maker? designer? Did HB have this stein made? How rare is this particular one? I have seen this exact design in both this size and 1L, but not the (1589-1939) 350 year commemorative stein. Nevertheless, it’s awesome!!
