The design of this octagonal mug was developed by the famous Bavarian architect Emanuel von Seidl (1856-1919 years of life) for the Bayerische Gewerbeausstellung (Bavarian Trade Fair) of 1906.

The mug of this design was made of ceramic, tin, and pressed glass with various decorations and different manufactories.
In this case, we are dealing with a product made of porcelain stoneware from the Marzi & Remy factory.
The stamp on the inner surface of the metal lid indicates that it was made at the Munich manufactory of the Tannhauser brothers (Brüder / Gebrüder (Josef & Albert) Thannhauser. Munich.)

The mug is personalized by engraving the first two letters of the owner's name and surname on the outer surface of the lid.
