The 1/2L has two horizontal capacity marks, but only one has the two vertical end marks. The body is about 5-3/4" and 8-1/4 to the finial. The only wording is "Diplomaten" Diplomats. The pewter lid was engraved with BACHUS, if it was Bacchus it would be the Roman god of wine, agriculture and fertility.
