19th century water fountain

Reinhold Hanke - mold 338

From the collection of Paul Van Eck

Pictured in a old Reinhold Hanke catalog

Not a stein but definitely a lovely item to have in the collection is this saltglazed stoneware water fountain.
Made by one of the many larger ceramics producers in the westerwald area, circa 1880~1900.

Made in the so-called historismus style decoration.

Model number 338 B impressed onto the back plate.

Total height: circa 48 cm.

A fellow collector informed me that this piece was made by the company Reinhold Hanke. [link]
