Two almost identical small beer steins from the historismus era (circa 1890).
Both have the same capacity (1/4 liter) and both were made from the same mold (nr. 394).
There are small differences however: the thin bands that circle the body are different. This suggests to me that the bands were decorated by hand, using a roller, after the stein bodies came out off the mold and before the firing process.
