Werner Corzelius

From the collection of Andrew Ives

Transfer decorated with hand applied accents.
Per Steinmarks.com: Aug. Jos. Corzelius Company renamed Werner Corzelius in 1954. The company ceased operations in 2005. The "WC" mark is dated 1954-1990, with the "W" over "C" version being an earlier mark.

The wording on the stein is the chorus from the drinking song "Beim Rosenwirt am Grabentor". The text was written c.1886 by Julius Rudolf Gspandel (1866-1912) and the melody was composed c.1896 by Otto Lob (1837-1908).
"Beer flow!
Beer flow!
What use are the little cruisers
to me when I'm dead!"
