J.W.Remy made steins 1864-1966 this "Scrollwork with Sayings" stein is about 8" tall and has a1L capacity mark only, it is mold #231 and it's not in the Beer Stein Library. 1887 it was required to have Germany or Made in Germany on all exports. This stein may have been made around 1864-1886.
The Banner has "Wollt Ihr leben hoch gesundt, so trinker aus bis auf den Grundt."

Front center "Lustig gelebt und seelig gestorben, das heisst dem Teufel die Rechnung Verdorben."
