Dumler & Breiden made stein 1883-1992, this "Charlemagne, Caesar and Alexander" stein is about 10-1/2" high and 5-1/4" across the base. This early 2L stein only has a mold #62 on it. The later #62 steins had names around the thee conquerors (bottom right picture). The lid insert has "GES GESCHUTZT" (Well Protected), This heavy three ring pewter hinge was used around 1885-1895. It was required in 1887 to have Germany or Made in Germany on all exports. This stein may have been made 1883-1886.
