Simon Peter Gerz made steins 1862-1999. This "Farewell Scene" stein has a Gerz logo, Germany and mold #215 on the base, no 2L capacity mark. It's about 14-1/4" to the top of the lid. According to the Gerz logo and Germany it was made 1893 or later. In 1887 it was required to have Germany or Made in Germany on all exports. This stein was probably made 1887-1939.
